March 5, 1962: Identical twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, from the Scottish band The Proclaimers, were born in Leith, Scotland.

The Proclaimers rose to global success in the late '80s, playing an amalgam of rock, folk, soul, and country, sung in brotherly harmony and their thick Scottish accents.

August 30, 1980: "Whip It" by Devo debuts on the US Billboard Hot 100 single's chart.

Following their 1978 breakthrough with the Brian Eno-produced Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!, Devo struggled to impress their label, Warner Brothers, with 1989's Duty Now for the Future.

People have often interpreted "Hotel California" for Anton LaVey and Satanism. Weird right? It kind of makes sense if you would actually interpret its lyrics one by one, “This could be heaven or this could be hell”, “but they just can’t kill the beast” and “We are programmed to receive, you can check out any time you like. But you can never leave”!
