February 20, 2003: In West Warwick, Rhode Island, 100 people were killed, and more than 230 were injured when fire destroyed the nightclub The Station.
When the fire during Great White's concert at The Station nightclub in Rhode Island began, most of the audience thought this was part of the act. The blaze quickly engulfed the entire ceiling, sending billows of black smoke across the venue.
