The soundtrack for the 2001 film adaptation of Moulin Rouge! includes "Lady Marmalade," made famous in the 1970s by the girl group Labelle. The song contains the sexually suggestive lyric "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?" which translates to "Do you want to sleep with me tonight?"
March 4, 1989: Bette Midler's cover of "Wind Beneath My Wings" entered Billboard's Hot 100.
In 1982, Nashville songwriters Jeff Silbar and Larry Henley wrote and recorded the demo for "Wind Beneath My Wings." Roger Whittaker was the first artist to take record it.

"Get the Party Started" by Pink was her biggest-selling song at the time. It was composed by former 4 Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry. She said that the process of making the song was "so unlike me."
