August 16, 2003:  A cover of  "The Boys of Summer" by The Ataris made a big move from Number 55 to 44 on the Billboard single's chart.

"The Boys of Summer"was released in 1984 by Eagles vocalist and drummer Don Henley. In 2003, The Ataris covered it for their album So Long, Astoria. 

Music History Today: July 17, 2020

July 17, 1959: While under arrest for illegal possession of narcotics, Billie Holiday dies at age 44 at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City.

On May 31, 1959, Billy Holiday was taken to Metropolitan Hospital in New York suffering from liver and heart disease.

May 3, 1986: Propelled by a video where look-alike models vamped the song, Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love" hit Number 1 on the Hot 100. 

“Addicted to Love” earned Robert Palmer the 1987 Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
