June 24, 2012: Billboard named Olivia Newton-John's 1982 hit, "Physical," as The Sexiest Song Of All Time.

Other classic Rock songs that made the top ten list of The Sexiest Song Of All Time were Rod Stewart's "Tonight's The Night," Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff," and another Rod Stewart contribution, "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy."
June 24, 1958: Nina Simone released her debut album, Little Girl Blue, which gave Simone her first hit with the single "I Loves You, Porgy." The track peaked at Number 18 on the pop charts and 2 on the R&B charts. 


June 24, 1978: The Village People first appeared on Billboard's Hot 100 with "Macho Man."
The Village People's name comes from Greenwich Village in New York City, which boasted an active gay community and a lively disco scene.

Jacques Morali, a French music producer and promoter, placed ads in music trade magazines that read "Macho Types Wanted: Must Dance And Have A Mustache." In April 1979, they became the first disco act to go on an arena tour. The Bee Gees could fill arenas, but they didn't finish their shows until June of that year.
