On The Radio- Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 & II by Donna Summer is an almost complete anthology of her popular '70s output, including the number one club singles "Love to Love You Baby," "Try Me, I Know We Can Make It," "I Remember Yesterday," "MacArthur Park," "Bad Girls," "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)," and "Hot Stuff."

The self-proclaimed "Antichrist Superstar," Marilyn Manson peddled a disquieting vision of society that focused on sex, drugs, violence, politics, and organized religion, which pushed many of his singles -- including "The Dope Show," "The Beautiful People," and a cover of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)."

January 5, 1973: Bruce Springsteen released his debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
Bruce Springsteen's debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., was an auspicious effort.

The record benefited from two of its tunes -- "Spirit in the Night" and "Blinded by the Light" -- becoming hits for Great Britain's Manfred Mann's Earth Band at the height of their American popularity.

January 5, 1998: In the Ally McBeal episode "Cro-Magnon," a thirty-something Ally is reminded of her ticking biological clock when she hallucinates a baby dancing to Blue Swede's "Hooked On A Feeling." 


January 5, 2008: On Billboard, Maroon 5 moved to Number 40 with "Wake Up Call." 
Maroon 5's song "Wake Up Call" is when a guy who comes home to find his wife cheating on him with another man, so he takes a gun and kills the guy. He feels no remorse for his actions and seems quite relieved as his problem is solved and he has taught his girlfriend a lesson. It topped out at 19 on the US music chart.
