March 17, 2015: Postmodern Jukebox uploaded a European Tour version of Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass."

Not only does the European Tour version of "All About That Bass" feature vocalists Haley Reinhart, Morgan James, and Ariana Savalas rocking some Andrews Sisters- style harmonies, but it also features a sweet four-hand bass solo by Casey Abrams and Adam Kubota.  With over 90 million now, it's destined for the Billion views club.

March 17,  1956: Elvis Presley performed on CBS-TV's "Stage Show."


March 17, 1968: The Bee Gees made their US television debut on the "Ed Sullivan Show," where they performed "To Love Somebody" and "Words."

March 17, 1979: The Babys' "Every Time I Think of You" peaked at Number 13 16 in the US. Released as the lead single from their third studio album Head First, John Waite provided lead vocals. The track was a worldwide hit and became their last top 20 in the United States.


March 17, 1990: "A Girl Like You" by The Smithereens peaked at Number 14 in the US.

The Smithereens' guitarist and singer Pat DiNizio wrote "A Girl Like You" as the motion picture Say Anything theme song. DiNizio ultimately withheld the piece from the project after he and the film's producer disagreed on making specific changes to the music.
