November 25, 1995: Whitney Houston debuted at Number 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 with "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)."

"Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" was featured in the movie Waiting To Exhale, which starred Whitney Houston as one of four women struggling to deal with the men in their lives. The song reflects the emotional state of the women in the film.

November 25, 1967: John Fred & His Playboy Band entered the US Top 100 singles with "Judy In Disguise."
John Fred heard the lyric to the Beatles’ track “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” as “Lucy in disguise with diamonds.” He decided to create a send-up of it. He and fellow musician pal Andrew Bernard filled notebooks with pseudo-psychedelic lyrics like “Cantaloupe eyes come to me tonight” and “Lemonade pies with a brand new car” and “Cross your heart with your living bra.”

November 25, 1976: The Band's final performance was held on American Thanksgiving Day at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco.

The Band's final concert was filmed by director Martin Scorsese, who made it into a documentary, "The Last Waltz." The show featured Joni Mitchell, Dr John, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton and others.

November 25, 1984: Several British and American musicians recorded the single "Do They Know It's Christmas" under Band Aid. The proceeds of the record went to Ethiopian famine relief.

November 25, 2001: Robbie Williams started an eight-week run at Number  1 on the UK album chart with Swing When You're Winning. A duet with Nicole Kidman, "Somethin' Stupid,"  was released as the album's first single.
