1. There were nine original Apple Scruffs. They were hardcore Beatles fans who congregated outside the Apple Corps building and at the gates of Abbey Road Studios in London. They were not “groupies.” Having sex with one of the guys was not something that they desired.

2. The Beatles' song "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" is about the day that Apple scruffs climbed through a bathroom window and raided Paul McCartney's wardrobe for a pair of trousers.

3. The last issue of the official magazine of the Beatles, Beatle Book Monthly was published in December 1969. The fans in the Apple Scruffs took over with their monthly Beatles publication called Apple Scruffs.
