Written in 1936 by Bob Nolan, "Cool Water" is about a thirsty man and his mule traveling a wasteland tormented by mirages. Western Writers of America members chose it as Number 3 on the Top 100 Western songs of all time.

March 27, 1965: The Moody Blues version of "Go Now" entered the top 40 section of Billboard's Hot 100, on the way to Number 10, when it moved from 46 to 27.
"Go Now" was The Moody Blues's second single, initially recorded by Bessie Banks. Their subsequent few releases did not fare as well, and the lead singer on this track, Denny Laine, whose pained vocals added so much to the single, left the band to set up his own Electric String Band in 1966. He later joined forces with Paul McCartney in Wings.

March 27, 1976: Styx had a top 40 single when "Lorelei" moved from 44 to 39. The track peaked at Number 27.
"Lorelei" by Styx is on their 1975 album Equinox. Record World described the song as "a hard rocking number with overtones of The Who and Raspberries in its fiery rhythms. The track was one of the songs that Styx re-recorded for their Regeneration: Volume 1 EP in 2010.

March 27, 1997: Will Smith had the US Number 1 single with "Gettin' Jiggy With It."
"Gettin' Jiggy With It" was the third single released from Will Smith's debut solo album. The verse is based on a sample of "He's the Greatest Dancer" by Sister Sledge, and the chorus is sampled from "Sang and Dance" by the Bar-Kays. The song spent three weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best Rap Solo Performance.
