"Dirty Water" is a mock paean to the city of Boston, Massachusetts. The "Dirty Water" is the notoriously polluted Charles River, which had become a receptacle for industrial waste. Nonetheless, it's their home and they love it anyway. The song has become a Boston anthem and a source of pride for the city.

July 9, 1977: The Floaters, formed by members of The Detroit Emeralds, entered Billboard's Hot 100 "Float On."
"Float On" became one of the biggest singles of the year, spending six weeks at number one on the U.S. Hot Soul Singles chart. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 behind Andy Gibb's "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" and The Emotions' "Best of My Love."

"China Girl" was written by Iggy Pop and David Bowie during their years in Berlin.

"Nothin’ But a Good Time" was a good representation of what Poison stood for. In the song, lead singer Bret Michaels doesn't have much money and isn't too concerned about saving what he has. "Nothin' But a Good Time" was also the name of Poison's 2018 joint tour of the US with Cheap Trick.
