May 29, 1982: Bow Wow Wow debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with "I Want Candy." 
"I Want Candy" was originally recorded in 1965 by a group called The Strangeloves.

It became a hit once again when it was released by the band Bow Wow Wow on their 1982 album The Last of the Mohicans. Bow Wow Wow was put together by Malcolm McLaren, who is famous for creating The Sex Pistols.

May 29, 1965: The Animals had another Top 40 hit when "Bring It On Home to Me" moved from Number 52 to 40. 
"Bring It On Home to Me" was written and originally recorded Sam Cooke.

The Animals recorded it in tribute to the then-recently killed Cooke. It was their last single to include original organist Alan Price. Their version reached number 7 in the UK and number 32 on the US Hot 100.

May 29, 1969: Crosby, Stills & Nash released their self-titled debut album.
Crosby, Stills & Nash is an extremely rich and influential debut album from the “super group” of the same name.

 David Crosby was from The Byrds, and Stephen Stills played in Buffalo Springfield, both Southern California folk/rock groups, while Graham Nash was from the British pop group The Hollies.

May 29, 1971: Paul Revere & The Raiders' "Indian Reservation (The Lament Of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)" moved into the US Top 40.
John D Loudermilk — the man who wrote “Tobacco Road” and “Ebony Eyes” - penned “Indian Reservation (The Lament Of The Cherokee Reservation Indian).”

The first version of “Indian Reservation” came out in 1959. In 1971, Paul Revere & The Raiders got ahold of “Indian Reservation” and took it all the way to the top.

May 29, 1976: "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck moved from Number 44 to 34 on the US music chart.
"Moonlight Feels Right" is the debut single recorded by the American band Starbuck. Written and produced by Bruce Blackman, the song was released in December 1975 but did not chart until April 1976. The song features a prominent marimba solo by co-founding band member Bo Wagner.
